This was fun to paint, sunflowers are so bold and beautiful. On the original painting the center really has the look and feel of the real sunflowers, I enhanced the center by dropping salt on the wet paint for texture. The original is for sale I will have more info on that later. You can for the time being order prints on different sizes and types of papers.

I am a self taught artist, I live in one of the most gorgeous areas of the country. I live in the Pacific Northwest, on scenic Whidbey Island, Washington. I have lived here for over 37 years and what an inspiration it is to get to experience each and every day. Our Island is 50 miles long and everywhere you drive to you get to see the ocean, we are surrounded by the Cascades, Olympics and Mt. Baker, we are so blessed to live here. My late husband and I were also able to travel most of our retired life to all the national parks and British Columbia, before he passed in 2020.
