My favorite time of year is when Whidbey Island features it's annual "Race Week" in July. This painting is a watercolor painting of a photo we captured during race week in 2006. My husband Larry and I took a picnic lunch to Coupeville and sat and watched the beauty pass us by, and with Mt. Baker in the back drop it was a sight to see indeed. I do hope that you will enjoy this watercolor painting it does come in various sizes to choose from. Thank you.

I am a self taught artist, I live in one of the most gorgeous areas of the country. I live in the Pacific Northwest, on scenic Whidbey Island, Washington. I have lived here for over 37 years and what an inspiration it is to get to experience each and every day. Our Island is 50 miles long and everywhere you drive to you get to see the ocean, we are surrounded by the Cascades, Olympics and Mt. Baker, we are so blessed to live here. My late husband and I were also able to travel most of our retired life to all the national parks and British Columbia, before he passed in 2020.
