Last of my photographs of the famous Deception Pass Bridge, this one taken from the highway at the area for cars to park and capture this awesome bridge. The water is so colorful and ever changing and the boating and fishing from here is truly spectacular.
About Mary Gaines
I am a self taught artist, I live in one of the most gorgeous areas of the country. I live in the Pacific Northwest, on scenic Whidbey Island, Washington. I have lived here for over 37 years and what an inspiration it is to get to experience each and every day. Our Island is 50 miles long and everywhere you drive to you get to see the ocean, we are surrounded by the Cascades, Olympics and Mt. Baker, we are so blessed to live here. My late husband and I were also able to travel most of our retired life to all the national parks and British Columbia, before he passed in 2020. Hi Jeff, thanks for the comment. Yes Deception Pass is so picturesque, but the Island offers so much more. Be sure to visit Coupeville Warf as well. Coupeville is about 10 miles from Oak Harbor. Ft. Ebey and Ft. Casey are also nice photographic areas, with Admiralty Head Lighthouse being the highlight at Ft. Casey State Park. Just drive anywhere on the Island and you will be sure to get some awesome photography of cliffs, seashore, white capped mountains like the Cascades, Olympics and of course Mt. Baker. You are going to love it here. Cheers!
